Hi all,
Can anyone tell me the sex of these chickens I brought 18 week old pullets, black and white one has crowed twice and has gold and brown feathers coming in. Im pretty sure the brown one is also a roo. I also got a lil one in with the 18 week olds, so had to go get him two buddy’s they are apparently 7-10 week old pullets, but I’m also suspect on them aswell. As both sellers have agreed to take any Roos back.
Any feedback would be appreciated
Thanks
C

Pretty sure that one is a cockerel. The rest look like pullets, but the pictures are hard to tell.

This was my second guess for a cockerel. Just based on coloring, but I’ve never had these breeds, so I couldn’t be sure. I had random chickens I took in, when I was young but I didn’t care about what sex they were.

These are your three pullets. The rest are cockerels.

This was my concern that I had more rooster than pullets 😑 I didn’t want a rooster yet. Is there anything I can look for so I don’t end up in with more cockerels. I had a gut feeling on the white one, but his waddles and comb are still pink. with the little black/white and grey/white how could you tell? Any advice would be appreciated.

Honestly, Brahma are very hard for me to sex. Maybe because I'm not as familiar with them. Add in mixed breeds - i have to wait, in most cases, until over 8 weeks of age.

Even breeds I'm familiar with, some chicks are just harder to sex. It's one
of the reasons I link sexlink & auto sexing breeds.

No eggs from any of them yet, right?

Your black and white barred one is a cockerel. The brown one (highlighted by Squawkers) also looks like a cockerel.

I would need better pictures of the others. I suspect you have some more slow developing cockerels in the mix.
Thanks this all is helpful.
