Okay I've been hatching eggs hoping for a partridge but so far I've had no luck. I have done it once before and it was completely by accident. I have no idea which of my silkies the egg came from. The partridge I did hatch died a week later that is why I'm trying so hard to get another one. So my question is what colors produce a partridge silkie? I have four black roosters, two white hens, and 2 black hens.

For partridge you need e^b base, gold and the pattern gene. Ideally you need e^b/e^b s+/s+ (or s+/- ) Pg/Pg. Try pairing each white with a black and note whether you get partridge offspring. If not, try switching the girls to the other boy and see if you get any then. You won't get partridge from black X black.

Thank you for replying that was really helpful. Also is it possible for a white and white to produce a partridge? I use to have white roosters but not anymore.

Only is one is recessive white and the other is heterzygous dominant white. Whites from paint breeding are likely to be dominant white.
