I'm about to add to my flock so that I will have 6 standards, 2 Brahma bantams and 3 Silkies, all female. I am going to add a rooster and have narrowed it down to a Silkie roo or a Buff Brahma bantam. I cannot decide and wonder if anyone has any ideas of which might fit better into my flock. Which would mate easier with the standard hens? Temperament is very important but I know it is hard to predict. The Silkie would give the 3 girls an extra body for warmth with the others are roosting. The brahma is beautiful and looks more roo-ish. I would really appreciate any comments or opinions! Thanks!
