So about 4 months ago I noticed one of the Buff-orpington was missing a lot of tail feathers (I thought it was a picking order thing )

But now over the last 2 months there are 2 others my easter egger and one of my barred cochin .

so my questions are .

Is this normal ???

If it's not normal what can I do to stop it ???

Why do they do this ???

I have also noticed that I don't see the feather in the coop ??

Thanks for all your help

How big is your coop?
I read that if the coop is crowded (less than 4 sq foot per bird) that birds might peck on each others, also I read that if birds don't have or get enough sodium in thier diet they might do that too.
I have the same problem and I am trying to give them more treats these days may be they quit, my birds are still 16 weeks old and they slowed down the pecking since I started giving them the treats.

Omran.
