If you have welsummer about how old did they start laying?

I don't have that breed but my guess would be the first is a hen and the second a roo.

I'm not familiar with the breed, but I'm pretty sure the first one is indeed a hen, but I'm not sure about the second one because it could be a hen with a large comb. Has it crowed yet? You should post full-body pictures so we can look at the saddle and hackle feathers because comb size doesn't always say everything

At 24 weeks, the chickens would be ready to lay, if not laying already and neither of the combs look too large for a laying hen. They may both be hens. Can you post a body shot of them, so we can see the sickle & hackle feathers?

Both are definitely hens. The color is very much different in the roosters.

My Roo-boy at 11 weeks has a larger comb and wattles and a very different colored head than both of yours (not to mention, a generally meaner eye than the ladies). I'd guess two hens

I not an expert but at 24 weeks I would think that roos would be crowing. Our roo has been crowing since he was about 12 weeks old.
