A group of us bought 6 POL chickens so 18 went in to a cage and a friend droped them off to us. This was back in October 2018
Now the other 2 lots of 6 POL are all laying madley and they both started laying slowly in November and they have trickled through til Jan when they all stated laying every day.
My 6 however haven't layed at all yet not even 1 egg in 4 months WHY????
What are the others laying and mine arnt????
Any ideas muchly welcome TIA

Is your coop darker than the others? I assume you do not use lights, I have 3 coops in my barn and I do use lights that come on at 4am but one of my coops was darker than the others and they were not laying. I had to leave the lights on all day then they started to lay. Maybe you can increase your natural light in your coop, if that isn’t it I don’t know.

Do your chickens free range? If so. Could they have a hidden nest?
What do you feed them? Most of their diet should be a complete feed, like a Layers feed or a Non-Medicated Starter-Grower with Oyster Shells or Crushed Limestone as a Calcium source. Scratch, a supplement feed, should not be more than 10% of a chickens diet. If you are feeding mostly a complete feed.
Then I would investigate the setups for the chickens that are laying to see what's different. What do they feed them? Do their coops have lots of windows? Do they add light?
Hopefully you can figure it out. GC

They just have layers an mixed corn. And are free range in 2 large fields.
The inside of the coop is quite dark, same as my friends the only difference is my coops a little bigger as it used to be my turkey coop when I had 12 turkeys.
