I've been noticing wholes in my duck eggs if they cloth in the yard..I put them up at 8om and let them out every morning at 6:20am and they'll lay an egg or two 8n the yard. I've been having up to 3 eggs with the same whole in them. I caught my duck two days ago after thinking maybe a crow wad getting them, not only poking the eggs but shaking it back and forth.. anyone ever experienced this before? What did you do? Also, my eggs production besides this has gone to almost nothing. They're fenced in in a good sized area, I would find any eggs.. thank you all so much..I don't know what to do..they have great duck food, fresh veggies, worms everyday, I let them out a little every day to forage.. anything to help will be appreciated ♥️♥️

Crows will do that. I've never seen a duck break an egg, but they will eat eggs if they are already cracked or opened.

If it is your ducks they may need more protein or more calcium in their diet. Not sure what you are feeding but I recommend an all flock ration formulated for waterfowl with a separate bowl of oyster shells for the calcium needs.

I don't know off hand because my husband buys the feed but its for laying ducks. I give them worms in their feed as well as corn, peas, kale and oyster shells that they have access to. They do get to forage about 3xs a week and they have grass in their big pen. They also have a coop, if they clutch outside the coop its 1-3 eggs I'll find, there is usually a whole in it. The hole is the shape of a beak and I caught my Cayuga flinging the egg the other day..I don't know what to do.. from what I've read its not in their character.. but I witnessed myself.. any suggestions? Im doing all I know to do🥺
