Polish 2mon infection/spider bite/cyst?? help

I have been searching forums for 3days, and have yet to find what Bowie has.

Bowie had discoloring down his leg 3days ago, (which appeared to be dried blood from him picking). The bump was significantly smaller, and I actually thought it was just an ingrown/infected feather. I only had to squeaze a teeny bit and got out a small blood clot and a barb. I thought I was done. Ummm no.

Bowie was just sitting in shavings while everyone was going for breakfast, very unlike him. I noticed his growth was now doubled in size. I ran him up to the house, covered him with a towel, sanitized everything, and prayed i could figure out what in the world was wrong. There was a distinct infectious odor upon my initial incision....There were 4 bloodclots, and I pulled 3 barbs from the area. Thats it. No puss or ooze, but a significant amount of bleeding once I got the bigger of the bloodclots out. I put Neo, gauze and Vetwrap on his poor thigh. And he is now resting in his crate in a pile of shavings in my bathroom. I am praying this is it.....

Does anyone have ideas, experience, advice on what in the heck this is? It would be much appreciated.

Sorry only pics were before I started. You know how difficult it is to stop an snap pics when your baby is hurt and your kinda freaking out.

It sounds like you have done the best for him. I'd start some systemic antibiotics as well. Keep soaking it and cleaning it. Their healing abilities are amazing.

Thank you very much. He was bleeding so bad he went through the gauze and vet wrap...I finally had to put some nu-skin on him. It still took quite a while to finally stop. He's breathing heavily, which is concerning. I know he's just had the worst day, poor thing. I gave him vitamin and electrolyte in his water...though I haven't seen him drink and I tried to get him to with no success. He's been on medicated feed since I discovered this, just to be safe.
