Polish Advice Please

I have one in with my mine she is black with the white crest somebody bothers her top knot but not bad enough to worry about it she holds her own 8weeks old right now. I worried about her at first she was a freebie and the weakest chick they never bothered her and I think it's her feathers coming in that attracted the top knot trouble. I raised polish before they lay nice white eggs and mine were never broody very entertaining chickens the kids loved them.

i had my white crested black polish pair in with about a dozen mf d'uccles, the d'uccle rooster was the boss and picked on the polish roos crest, the hen was fine. i separated them because the roosters crown was bleeding and scraggly, though they were also being separated anyways for breeding.

I have Polish in with my mixed layers and I have never had any trouble. That doesn't mean you won't, I have my birds in an area that has a lot of room. They are all free range chickens and I think that if you had them more confined, that they would crest pick.
