Polish as broodies?

One of my Polish hens has gone broody. First time ever. I've read they make rubbish brooders. What are your experiences?

I've just lost all of a batch under a Wyandotte and most of a batch under a Silkie and want to see if I can get another batch hatched this summer, but this is the only hen currently broody. She has sat on and off for a week, and the last two days constantly.

Would you risk it?

I've decided I will!! Put her on a clutch of eggs after dark tonight, in a separate broody box I have. Fingers crossed she will stick with them.
