Polish as Good Layers?

Hi, everyone.
I've read Polish are pretty quiet birds, which sounds great, and are friendly but skittish at times due to lack of vision from their wild crests (by the way, how would you trim it?), but I was wondering for those of you who have or have had them, approximately how many eggs a week do they lay (at their peak, in your experience)? And they're small, too, aren't they?

I have 2 currently. 3rd one went MIA this past summer. None are laying at current time. They did go thru a molt though. Eggs are medium size at best. White in color. If they are laying, don't expect more than 3 or so per week. You may get spurts when they do better. They are ornamental BEAUTIES, so that is their most important reason to be kept. One of mine I had to do a punk haircut on. When she was drinking, her hairdo acted like a mop. It looked sad.:sick

Here are my eggs. Left to right. Red sex link.... RIR..... Polish.... OEGH bantam...

I trimmed using scissors.
WISHING YOU BEST and ....:welcome

Cavemanrich, thanks for the information. Your Polish are beautiful; and the one in the second picture looks hilarious.
Oh, your Red Sex Link's egg is so dark; at first I thought it was a Marans egg! How pretty. And it's the biggest, it looks like. I've read that RIR sometimes lay huge eggs?, and that Polish are inconsistent layers. So... I need to think on your helpful response.
And, Gray Farms, thanks! That's weird that they'd do that, though. But being on the positive side, four eggs sounds like a nice amount. :)

It really varies a lot between varieties and strains. I've had white crested blacks that were excellent layers of decent sized eggs. I bred buff laced for years and they were more like what I've seen on this thread-- inconsistent but went through streaks sometimes where they'd lay more.
