Please help! My chicks are sick, and I noticed today that my polish chick (roughly 8-10 weeks old) has developed some sort of mouth lesion. I tried to get the best pictures I could. Anybody, what is this? How to cure? They’re currently on doxycycline for respiratory issues, that’s what the swollen eyes are from.

May I ask what you believe is causing the wet feathers on the head, neck and face?
Can you send a picture of the poop?
If, this is the only bird with this problem, separate him immediately and keep him under a warmer. Separate the sick.
Feed him electrolyte water and scrambled egss and yogurt.
You may want to consider waking every 2-3 hours tonight to keep her hydrated.
Please send more pictures.
Also, in the BYC site, research the name Wet Pox. There is info about it.

She’s wet because I’ve been coaxing her to drink. My bad, should have addressed that in the original post. She hasn’t pooped yet. We separated her, and will keep you updated 👍🏼

Great! If you have a dropper, it makes it easier. If not, bring a small 1/2 tsp measure spoonto her beak. Often when the tip of her beak is dipped, she will taste the wetness and drink.
Hopefully, this too shall pass. Just keep her warm and dry.

Sorry for your loss. The scab on the beak looked to be dry fowl pox, but there looked to be the wet form of pox inside her beak. Wet pox is very serious. Pox is a virus spread by mosquitoes. Do any others in your flock have any scabs?
