Polish Chicken Crest Question

I have been told that the gene for the crest in Polish chickens is dominate. I take this to mean that no matter what you cross with a Polish chicken, it will have a crest.
Is this true. If not please explain.

i believe everything i have crossed with a polish as a crest. but not all get the vaulted skull. so some of my crosses have little poofs and some have larger crest, but usually not as big as the original polish

I've had some silkie/polish crosses, and they've always come out with a smaller crest than the Polish parent.
