Polish Chickens

Can anyone give me their opinion on raising polish chickens? I've been looking at them for quite a while I love the way they look. I free range my chickens do they do well free ranging or would I need to just keep them in the run?

I have read that they tend to be picked on by other chickens is this true?

Another concern I have is that I live in PA where it gets very cold in the winter time. I did see at one time somebody said that they do not do well in the winter. What is everyone's experience with this?

Would it be better to wait until next spring to order them?

Also, do they have nice temperaments? I've seen mixed reviews...

I used to have a lot of them and they did OK in the winter. However, IMO they don't free range well because they can't pick up on hawks as quickly as other chickens.
