I know it’s a little bit early for me to know for sure the gender of these babies but I’m hoping someone can give me some pointers on how to better tell gender & at what age that I’ll be able to know for sure. The 1st one in the group has scissor beak so it’s face is a little wonky. We call it Snips.

They’re all still way to young. if anyone was to even try to sex your chicks it would purely just be a guess, and nothing else. Wait till they are 8+ weeks old.

Boys tend to get their hair feathering more towards the back, whilst girls get it feathering out the sides. But again you can’t use these ‘pointers’ to help sex chicks this young.

The comb and wattles (flaps of skin under the beak) turn pink/red early on cockerels than pullets. You can probably tell in 3-4 weeks
Ok. So I need to watch the waddles. Gotcha. I know I’m other breeds that the comb size & color can give you an idea early on that it’s a cockerel. But with polish it’s hard to see the comb with all that “hair” in the way.

Ok. I figured it was a long shot. Thank you. Now I have a better idea of what to look for.
