Polish genetic question

Maybe one of you can help me... We are thinking of adding a polish rooster to our little flock... Reason being, we want to breed it into our flock... I dont know how to word my question so i will try an example... To keep it simple we will say RIR's

Polish rooster mixed with a rir ... Or ... rir rooster mixed with a polish hen

which one is going to carry the big hair thru to the chicks the best or does it not matter??
