I need help My Polish Pollie my sweetest pet in the hole yard loves to roost on my shoulders and be petted now is afraid to be touched. I don’t know if she’s injured or has wry neck or some other disease but she stays hunched up like in the picture wasn’t able to walk or lift her head for a couple weeks . I gave her electrolytes and tried a few things she’s walking now but very slowly does very little activity but does eat and drink. But when I feel her neck it seems to be completely like it not twisted but part of it collapsed . We did have a bad wind close to the same time it started and a piece of tin flew in the yard i don’t know if it hit her . Any input would be appreciated

Answer these questions.->
1) What type of bird , age and weight (does the chicken seem or feel lighter or thinner than the others.)
2) What is the behavior, exactly.
3) How long has the bird been exhibiting symptoms?
4) Are other birds exhibiting the same symptoms?
5) Is there any bleeding, injury, broken bones or other sign of trauma.
6) What happened, if anything that you know of, that may have caused the situation.
7) What has the bird been eating and drinking, if at all.
8) How does the poop look? Normal? Bloody? Runny? etc.
9) What has been the treatment you have administered so far?
10 ) What is your intent as far as treatment? For example, do you want to treat completely yourself, or do you need help in stabilizing the bird til you can get to a vet?
11) If you have a picture of the wound or condition, please post it. It may help.
12) Describe the housing/bedding in use

Yes she does seem lighter she’s a polish cuckoo around 4 to 5 months old. She weighs 1 lb 1.5 oz her sister weighs 1 lb 14 oz She eats putin’s start and grow I give rooster booster a couple times a month . I do let them out to peck the grass. I’m not sure if she was injured but it’s possible. She has been pretty all to herself for at least a month no other birds have her symptoms. She stays yo herself away from all the others pretty much all hunched up it seems as she can’t stretch her neck out like the others . She drinks water with electrolytes. I did try hydro drench kept her inside until she started walking agin but i still don’t let her stay with the others because she seems too fragile. If I could treat her at home i’d like to but if i can’t i’m considering bringing her to a vet

She's not laying eggs right?
Check her crop early in the morning before she eats or drinks anything and see how full it is.
You may want to give her Nutri-Drench.

I am giving her Nutri-Drench . No she hasn’t started laying yet and I doubt if she ever will because she’s so fragile cuz when she was about 2 or 3 months old my neighbors dog killed one of her sisters and almost killed her i didn’t think she’d make it but when i found her he was flapping her around i kicked him away from her and took her in and got her comfortable so she could die in piece that afternoon she was moving around a bit so i gave vitamin and nursed her back but anyway every time a rooster gets around her she becomes so fragile so i only let her stay with the babies so she’s not alone and i’m always feeling her crop i don’t think she eats enough to fill it up . She looks like it’s full but that’s her neck it’s all curled up and can’t lift her head all the way up for about a month now

It seems she's injured from the dog attack.

She may have wry neck. Polish are prone to wry neck and it can be caused by injury to the head which probably happened when the dog attacked her. I'll tag the experts, they may be of a more help then I. @azygous @Wyorp Rock @Eggcessive
Here's an article about wry neck.->

Thank you very much but unfortunately I don’t think she’ll make the night . I really had a lot of hopes in her but I think she’s tired of fighting thank you very much for trying

Is her crop emptying overnight?

I'd try getting some Vitamin E into her. (400IU)
A fecal float to see if Coccidiosis and/or worms are part of the problem would be a good idea.

The hunched appearance, it's hard to tell if she's suffering from disease, Coccidiosis or some other condition.

Work on hydration and eating. I'm sorry she's not doing well and giving up.
If you do lose her and maybe want to find out what may have caused her decline, send the body to your state lab for analysis.
