Polish Questions

We got three Polish chickens about a month ago. And of course the whole family is in LOVE tonguetongue But just wondering if they would be something we could consider showing and breeding? Also any other info you could give me would be great, such as exact name any other info I might need to know.

I cannot encourage you enough to seek out someone locally to give you advice on show preparation and then put them in a local show. I cannot tell you they will win but I can tell you that YOU will win. Be prepared that not everyone is welcoming but put yourself out there and be willing to learn. We just returned from a weekend show and had a good time. We visited at the show, saw the judging and then went and had dinner and caught some mini-golf. Stayed the night and loaded up and came home this afternoon. Nice family outing...definitely best if you have a friend or family member with you. You will meet nice folks but you will need someone you know to fill in the gaps. Another option would be to join a club and attend a regional meet where they might have a function of some sort.

those birds whould do well and they should make u some nice show babies but dont breed the solid black to white crested blacks

Chickendales, Thanks for the reply, I am in the Kalamazoo area I would love to find someone around here that could help. We bought them from a lady in Battle Creek and she said they came from a show breeder in Michigan SO????????
How come the black hen can't be bred with the White Top Hats?
