It was 105 in Eatonville today about 2 p.m. I think this is hotter than I have ever seen in Western WA.
My chickens were panting even after ice water and watermelon. I rummaged through our storage and found a fan that I zip tied to the wire on the cieling of our coop. Our 12 week old Polish roo discovered where it was coolest right away. He stood under the fan with his wings out and his head feathers flying in the breeze.
