polish to make bearded silkie?

Someone told me that bearded silkies are a Hybrid and I would have to cross a polish to make a bearded silkie? I have silkies... Never heard that is it true?

I don't think that is so it would take alot of breeding to get back to the silkie form for just to get a bearded silkie.

Silkies are a very old breed.... Marco Polo wrote about them in 1299 & they are more ancient than that. I'm pretty sure they pre-date Polish.

polish were used to increase the size of the vault a while back. sometimes a roo will have horns on his comb from a polish ancestor. your best be would be to buy a bearded silkie to add to your pen.

Just the same thoughts as the others.....adding a bearded Silkie roo would change the whole
outcome of the next generation.
Polish cross would take a long time to accomplish the same thing, [and perhaps never be as good]
