Polish?

Are polish usually friendly? And How about the roosters?

My Polish are not unfriendly but they are jumpy. I love to watch them so I do not hold them often.

I am really enjoying my polish, I have them in the pen and coop with Buff Orps and they all get along very well. I have a polish rooster that is quiet so far and very smart, he watches out over his ladies, if there is something coming up behind him he bends over and looks between his legs since he can't see very well due to his crest, it's hysterical. The hens are sweet and will eat out of my hand but don't care to be held. I really get the biggest kick out of them though.

Half of our polish are not friendly, they avoid us whenever possible.
One is very sweet and will jump on your lap and doesn't mind being held/pet.
The other can't see well, even though we've trimmed her crest quite a bit, and is jumping and gets startled when you pick her up but she calms down once you hold and pet her.

I have a bunch of Polish both male and females. They are like the Paris Hiltons of the world. Perhaps not the brightest crayon in the box, but I just love them. Mine are all friendly and will come to me when they see me coming. Even my roo's will let me pick them up and hug on them. Keith, my Silver Crested will even lay his head on my shoulder when I hold him. I'm just really partial to them I guess. All of my breeds get along fine with each other.

I have a young Polish roo that I acquired by accident really - he was an extra in an order I got from McMurray. He is the sweetest little guy though. In fact, when the rest of the roos went into our freezer we couldn't bare to have him killed - he was so cute. But now I don't really want him because I have another roo(Marans) to breed my hens next spring so not sure what to do with him. He is very friendly and you can pick him up. We call him Fuzz.

We had 2 Golden Laced Polish they were very friendly!
