Poll-Which are better mousers Male or Female cats

I had a girl cat, Pokey. She lived to be 19. She was a good mouser and would always leave us the best part of the mouse, the head, on our door step. One time though, she caught a baby mouse and injured it, but didn't kill it, but I think she felt bad and wanted us to save it. She meow-ed..."Someone save this baby mouse! it needs help!"

I think its a personality thing. I've had many cats, male and female over the years and some were excellent, others never bothered.
Our current lug was a fantastic hunter for the first two years of his life. Now, at the ripe old age of *ahem*...4, he has evidently decided to retire from the hunting game and focus on his other hobbies: napping and dog harassment.
