To feed or not to feed, that is the question.....

I indulged in some pommes this morning and wondered if I could give the rinds and white stuff to my girls. Thoughts?

According to the treat chart thats in the learning center, it says they like the seeds. Not sure about the rinds though..

Not sure about the seeds but I know that my chickies love the actual little fruity things that humans can eat!!!!

I have several pomegranate trees in my yard & when the squirrels accidentally drop their fare my girls devour the pomis. No ill effects that I can see - and they are picky too. MUST be super ripe or they will snub them.

Pomegranate is a fantastic food for chickens. All those antioxidants are giving their immune system a big boost. Feed them often if you've got ready access to them.

Helping themselves although they really prefer me to break them open.

Mine love them . I'm glad i don't have to buy them for me and the chickens and the dog. I have 3 bushes thinking about planting some more.

You are actually the person that taught me this and my birds thank you for that! They love them.

Thank you all! I have never, ever seen them fight over a piece of food like they fought over the quarter I gave them! Holy cow.
