⠀ poo eating HELP

Hello, both of my chickens eat poop, anything i can do to stop this? Thank you

I was told by a nutritionist it is because there is so much in the feed nutrient wise that can't be absorbed, much goes into the poop and is consumer then. I cut back on the protein amount and the poop eating has decreased. Just my observation.

This is a common occurence. Remember, chickens are not people. They don't view manure the same way that we do. Manure contains nutrients that animals need/want. Although you and I find this repulsive, it is not an unnatural occurence. If you really want to stop this, then you would need to put the birds in a raised wire cage so that the chickens have no access to where the manure falls.

Chicks get immunity from mom's poop, so they actually benefit from munching some poo....

Lol aren't you glad we got that from milk instead?

Actually i put the eggs in a incubator no mom has been with them
