Don't know if I should be worried, I have 2 days experience so far raising chickens... Anyway one of my chicks has poo stuck to her but. I checked and the opening is clear, the poo is stuck on the feathers/fuzz above her but. I tried a damp paper towel but it didn't want to come off and I didn't want to hurt her. It doesn't look like it's blocking anything so is it ok to leave it there and let it work itself loose? There's only one opening back there correct? Her behavior seems normal, she's drinking and eating. I haven't watched long enough to make sure "she" is pooing... I've got 6 and they all look too similar at this point to tell them apart at a glance.

take her to the sink and run some luke warm water over the poo and gently massage it off and make sure to dry her off really well and yes there is only one opening

It's best to try and get it off now before it does block the vent of the chick. You my have to tug a little (I just had 2 earlier this week that had some stuck/dried to their butts) just keep trying to moisten it with a paper towel/rag that is warm. Having a small folded piece of paper towel and using the edge to wipe under the poo where it is closest to the feathers helps loosen it a bit quicker too.

You can also try a little oil. I had the same problem with a chick last year. I had to clean her for about a month and then she was fine. She was sore with me for a while but she got over it.
