pooing in the nest boxes

Seems there is a LOT of poo lately in the nest boxes, a lot more poo than eggs!!! Would closing them off at night to be certain the hens aren't roosting there at night help?? Any other ideas what to do?? I don't really want to be cleaning out nasty poo filled nest boxes every day if it can be helped. Thanks!!!

Do you have a perch for them?
most likly there roosting in the nesting box.

Yes, closing off the nesting boxes at night should do the trick.

Thanks!!! I will try closing them off at night. Yes, we have 4 perches for them to roost on.
