Before I finalize this coop with roosts and decide on permanently attaching the poop boards I wanted to see if you all had any more thoughts. I wish I had gone another foot higher overall but that'll have to be visited in the next coop one day. Live and learn. I like the idea of everything being removable for easy cleaning so I may just put peices of wood underneath the poop board to keep them from moving in-between the 2x4s. When I assembled and de-assembled it today it was pretty firm without.

Roosts will obviously need to go above these, am I getting to close to the vents (concern would be winter). Just for clarification the roost will be a 2x4 that runs along the door and then from the door to the window in an L shape. Right above the current poop board. Any other space concerns?

Thinking back the the 4x6 coop I had years ago.....I didn't do poop boards since it left no room for them to get off the roosts and no floor space if they decided it was to yucky outside to go out.

That said making them removable is important so you can tend things.

The 3' height on the short wall does put their heads right by the vents when roosting. Not much you can do about that now though.
