Is has been in the negatives for the last 2 days here. I went out today with a pair of scissors because I noticed 2 days ago before it got to the negatives 2 of my hens had poop starting to form on there butts!!!! Well I just spent the last 20 mintues snipping away a huge ball of frozen poop and each of them had an egg stuck in them still because the poop had frozen over so bad it enclosed these eggs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Are they sick?!! The poop is a little softer then usual, but doesn't have any odd coloring to it! Or is this just because they sit and poop and it just keeps freezing!?
Well now these 2 poor girls are missing half of the butt feathers in negative temps! GOD I can't wait for it to be spring already!
