To make it short, here's the poop.
I have absolutely no clue what that is, but my best guess is a cyst, or a yolk.
It's from my six month old cuckoo maran hen.
She was lethargic yesterday, head and tail down and not eating (as determined by a squishy, empty crop), so we moved her to a box in the bathroom- dark and warm where she can't move too much without supervision.
She has hospice bed pads for bedding, a mash of pellets and boiled egg with warm water for food, and apple cider vinegar water to drink.
Yesterday she did not lay an egg. She's been going steadily for a month now, and even laid a double yolker the week before last.
At around 11pm, I checked her vent and found eggshell there. I originally thought it was pine shavings stuck there with a clogged vent, because we use those as bedding out in the coop.
Definitely shell though. I was cautious with it and made sure it wasn't a hemorrhoid or anything else that shouldn't have been pulled before removing it.
I pulled the rest of it out gently (stopped if she was uncomfortable or it felt stuck at all and moved slowly) and I think that was the entirety of the shell. She was much more lively once it was out and started to eat. Talkative and curious about the bathroom, too.
I'm mostly worried about egg yolk peritonitis.
She had mucusy poops yesterday that were mostly bile.
She's only had small meals (mostly cooked egg white) for the 24 hours but has been drinking water, so I'd assume that's why it's so watery.
I'm including a picture of the egg I pulled, too.
None of my other hens are acting strange.
