Pooper Scooper???

We have 4 hens that I like to allow to free range in our backyard. The problem is my yard isn't huge and I have 3 kids who don't enjoy playing baseball in poop. The girls really like to poop on the patio and by the swing set, too. I want to make everyone happy, as well have at least somewhat sanitary conditions and was hoping you guys had some suggestions. Ideas? Thank you! Jen

A window squeegee blade and a dustpan for patio followed by a hose and just the hose to wash the poop into the lawn or gravel.

I'd keep the chickens in a run...more important for kids to play than chickens to roam. Just my opinion.

I'd keep the kids in a run....they are far messier, noisier and harder to control. They may not poop on the lawn but do they provide you with a free, nutritious breakfast? Hmmmmmm.......
