Poopy bottom??

My Buff has a really poopy bottom. Her vent is clean and healthy but her feathery bottom is all poopy . Her sisters bottom is very clean with no dried poop. Should I be concerned do it need to clean it? How would I go about cleaning it?

Yes I would clean it before it turns into pasty butt. Just take your chick and run warm (not hot) water over the poopy area (this may take up to 10 min) let it soak up and get soft and wipe with paper towel gently while water is running over it...give her a rest in between soakings. Then put some olive oil around vent area. Be careful not to rub to hard their skin is VERY thin there. Very gentle!

It's actually a grown hen. Does that make a difference?
