I’m raising 10 silkie chicks (7-12 days old) in a brooder and my broody hen is raising 4 chicks (12 days old) out in the coop.
I noticed today that a couple of the coop babies have poopy butt. I wouldn’t really call it pasty butt (yet), it’s more that it’s stuck to their feathers. I tried to get my hands on them to clean them up but mom was NOT having it.
Will mama hen take care of this for me or do I need to risk her wrath and get my hands on them?
