Poopy butts

I have several chickens with poop accumulating on their butts. What is going on? Its too cold to give them a bath (-20F this morning). I don't notice that any of the poops look runny.

Are your chickens roosting or sleeping on the ground?

I take a scissors and cut off the poopy feathers.

Check for worms is my advice. (Even though it doesn't look runny.)

Some vets offer a fecal test for worms for a small fee.
