Poopy Run

I have a method for cleaning out my flock's coop, but not so much for their run. I can move my coop around, but since they have the grass scratched down there I would like to leave the coop where it is. Any ideas on how to clean up/maintain their run? I've noticed that really it hasn't been too bad, but we've had a lot of rain lately and it just seems like there's a lot of poop in there.

We added a sand floor to the small run we currently use. It's wonderful. I clean it with a kitty litter scooper 2x a week. I really hope to add sand (gradually as we can afford it) to the larger run we are working on, as soon as possible.

What size is your run? I agree with the sand. Use rough river sand, not play box sand.

I'm not entirely sure of the dimensions of it. My uncle built it and gave it to me. It's big enough for about 5-6 chickens though. Do y'all put sand throughout the whole run or just half of it?
