prolly a silly question, but what keeps a chicken from roosting on the poor boards and not the roost..... or do you just not care..

It is possible that you may have a chicken on the poop board from time to time but that would be rare. With plenty of properly installed roosts that should not be a problem. Having said that,we do have a Welsumer pullet that will hide on the back corner of the poop board when the other girls pick at her. We just pick her up and set her back on the roost and everythings fine. Most nights she goes to the roost on her own.

Ditto on that. love our poop tray setup, but yes, from time to time one will want to roost on them. We just move her to the roost. She will get the idea.
