Poor DRUMSTICK....

I have two roo's and 20 hens, Drumstick is the nicest, most considerate roo....then there is LeRoy. LeRoy is Mister dominate, he has pecked and pecked my hens to the point of blood...(his is schedualed for the pot of chicken and dumplings this weekend).
As I am watching from the house, Drumstick wonders one of the runs all by himself (battling 40mph wind), every time he enters the coop....LeRoy chases him out!

None of the hens follow him......poor little Drumstick!

Hopefully next weekend he will find he has aquired a harem of hens.....LeRoy will feed his keeper, while Drumstick will feed his ego!

Maybe he will even crow a bit.....he doesn't crow, because LeRoy has it covered!

Sorry for such a strange post.....just looking out my window!

Oh poor little roo! I've had the lesser roo never crow or even fully mature (think it's a defense mechanism). When they finally get their turn at big man on campus, all is well
