Poor Old Coop

I'm not sure how old this coop was but thought I'd take a picture of how bad it looked before we ripped off the back wall to replace it. Look at the hole on the bottom left. That's where the goats have been trying to break in to eat the chicken food. They made a good sized hole!
I should have taken a picture of the roof too, it leaked so badly there wasn't a dry spot in the coop when it rained and when it snowed, the snow didn't even stay on the roof, it came through to the chickens! Poor girls.
Anyway, we're building a new coop.

You can always revamp a coop or modify it to be more function all over again. But sometimes rebuilding is also more exciting... Good luck on your next build.
 
We're redoing the roof and walls of this coop plus adding another section on with nesting boxes I can access from the outside.
I think the original coop was painted white at one point in time, probably 20 years ago. I'm going to paint the whole thing, both buildings, white too. Will match our house!
