I have 2 incubators. One is a Brinsea Eco20 with a turner and the other is a TopHatch.
The Eco holds temperatures really well.
The TopHatch can't hold a steady temp to save it's life.
I've had a hatch out of each so far this year.
The Eco20. 17 hatched of 24 eggs. Four eggs were clear. The chicks thrived and have done great from day one.
The TopHatch. 13 hatched out of 36. Ten eggs were clear. The chicks are doing okay but a couple are struggling.
From what I've seen there seems to be a strong correlation.
Has anyone else noticed a disparity between chick health and temperature stability or egg turning frequency?
