Need help on how to fix my poor babies leg, he hatched on saturday and isnt able to stand on his own due to this problem. I think it could be spraddle leg and curly toes. But his legs goes out in front if him not to the side. Is he still to small to help? Or is there something i can do x

Welcome To BYC

I'm sorry, I'm just now seeing your thread.
How is your chick doing?
Hard to tell, but the chick may have some leg deformity and sadly may not make it.
Are you able to give her a couple of drops of poultry nutri-drench twice a day?

Hiyah,
Hes still hanging on.
I think ive managed to correct his curled toes but his legs still a problem for him.
He won't eat or drink on his own so have to keep syringe feeding him. I just feel so sorry for the lil guy, he wants to walk around but just cant 🙁.. I don't want to give up on him but have no idea what else to try. I was given meds and egg crumb for him so been giving him that.

What meds and what is egg crumb?
Can you post some updated photos of him? Can he stand at all?
They have given me antibiotics, pain relief and anti inflammatory for him, they said the egg crumb is supposed to be what they eat after they hatch but with my other chicks ive had previously they all had chick crumb, so not to sure tbh its bright yellow and looks like chick crumb. He cant stand without assistance.. Ive now tried something different to try and keep his leg in the same position but he's so small he just wriggles out of most things. The pic of him led down is how he stays when hes put down.. The leg stays out in front of him.

Poor little thing.

It doesn't sound too promising does it?

Generally if I have a chick like this, I put them down. I have attempted fixes and giving them time, but they seemed to continue to fail.
Hopefully this is not the case with your little one. Keep most posted :hugs

Thank you.. As long as hes still willing to fight with me then il keep trying... Hes survived over a week now so far.
