I bought my first chicks last July. shortly after that I decided to try raising meal worms. I started of with 1000. I think I started with too big a container. I had babies, but they never grew. I think maybe the tub was too big for them to find the moisture source. I filled two plastic shoe box size bins with bedding from the original tub, then started two new ones with about 20 worms each. I set the original tub aside. After several months of basically no luck I ignored them through the winter. Well, this evening, I decided to take a peek. I have 5 tubs FULL of worms. All life stages! Crazy- when I was making an effort I got no where. Then I ignore them and after a bit of warmer weather I am overloaded!
