Void where prohibited.
I have a B/O rooster who is almost five months, and he's a BIG bird.
He's been ok, up until the last few days, when I think his hormone machine kicked in.
He's not sure what to do with his ladies yet, but he's certainly giving it a good try.

Today he tried to test the waters with me.
As I was bent over emptying the big stainless popcorn bowl of food into the feeder, he came right up to me, and tried to tear himself a nice chunk of my hand.
Automatic reflexes kicked in, and I backhanded him upside the head with the bottom of the big empty bowl.
Haarrraaaaaaaaaaaaaang!!!!!!! went the bowl, and the rooster took a few steps back, blinked his eyes at me, looked up and went, DDDDAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYUUUUUUUUUUMMMMMM!

Yes, I think we've established the pecking order this evening.

I had a buff orpington rooster. He became so aggressive that I feared for my grandchildren eyes. He would regularly leave bruises well above my knees with his flogging and kicking. He finally went to the freezer. As one of my Granddarlings said, "He had a lot of chicken in him." I hope you won't have so much aggression from your roo. Here's a pic of Peck, on his finest day...the day he managed to sneak up on me as I was exiting the pen.
