This is the first time my class has hatched eggs, and we successfully hatched 6 out of 7 eggs. My students, and entire school are thrilled to see them hatch. My problem is, our fist chick that hatched named Uno is having trouble walking. He is about 3 days old now, and he is limping around, and its very visible that his left leg/foot are hurt. His toes look like they are lifeless when he walks (they don't spread out) and the leg is visibly favored. Anythoughts on what I can do. I thought about a splint, but honestly i wouldn't know where to put it. My students and I would appreciate any help

Thanks

might need to cull (kill) him, however if you do chose to splint it make it to the top of the leg down to the ankle to alleviate pressure, and separate him out and make sure he has some type of flooring where they cant slip around... if it doesn't get better (sorry to say) you will need to cull it. watch it and if it eats and gets better let me or us know, we'll go from there
