I’ve been keeping an eye on my goslings poorly foot and looking at the swelling I’m worried it might be bumblefoot 😢 I had a chance to properly compare her back toes today and if it is what are the next steps? how do we treat this? Or is it just a bit of swelling that’ll go down on its own? It’s only on her back toe

How old is he/she? I would start by soaking that foot in warm water with epsom salts, then inspect it closely and see if theres anything like a splinter or a cut , or if a blackish scab (that could be bumblefoot) I never saw bumblefoot on a toe so I dont know if it may be possible? can spray with vetericin and use antibiotic ointment on it (the kind withOUT pain relief) I use a supersilver wound gel seems to work better than triple antibiotic on animals and on people too

I also read a recent post about "epsom salt ointment" its a green paste they sell it for horses but can be used on other animals I read that it is an awesome cure for bumblefoot

When we last inspected there was a small cut on the toe and we cleaned it down and hoped for the best but it’s still very swollen 😢 I’ll soak it later in some salt water and see if I can find any antibiotic ointment or vetericin
