I am 90% positive one of my Girls has Coccidiosis they are 6-7 weeks old. She is all puffed up and there is bloody stool in the brooder they. It just started this morning. I am going to go buy some corid and treat her. I am assuming that I should treat them all to be safe? I feel so terrible, I have been letting them go outside because it has been so nice here in South Jersey. They have only been outside twice. I could cry!! Worst part is I wont be able to treat her until later this afternoon. Is there any hope in this situation if I get her treated today? Should I separate her?

I would treat the all of them.

It's nothing to feel badly about. Older chickens can get sick from cocci, too. And yes, definitely treat them all.

Thanks everyone, I went out and got the corid to treat them, however when I got home ( away for a few hours) there was no bloody poo anywhere and all 5 chicks are acting fine. Maybe it was an intestinal lining? They are on medicated chick feed so I am going to hod of on the corid for tonight. I also put the light a little lower to warm them up ( they have room to move away if they get hot), maybe the extreme temperature change here in Southern NJ was to much for the one in question ands that's why she was all puffed up. She is running around now being her super friendly self.

thanks again
