We have had a buff hen that has laid pretty regular the hole time we have had her. she never had a rooster with her, that was of age. we recently got one and two other layers, they were suppose to be great layers. we have had them for almost 3 weeks and not one has layed, nor our buff. I knew with a change of enviroment and what not it could take them a week or so to start laying again, but three weeks??? any advice would be appreciated

Were the new ones separated for a month before putting them with your hen? And is the hen acting sick? Droopy tail, and walking like a penquin? If not, I doubt egg bound, and most likely it's the change of the flock, and possibly the heat. Many are reporting less eggs due to the heat right now.

well our plan was to wait, but my DH got a little anxious and mixed them already. so how long could it be?? it has been kinda warm here but the past few days it has really cooled off. No walking funny or acting sick, just not as mean lol.
