I just noticed my Belvedere (12 weeks old) has a white spot at the corner of her eye. Looks like puss. Don’t want to touch it for fear of making it worse. The other eye is normal. Should I be doing anything for this or taking her to vet?

Thanks. When i went back to look at it, it seemed that it was either wiped off (by the bird) or loosened itself. His eye still seems a bit closed. I will apply a cleaning first thing in the morning. It was getting late and they were going up into their coop. Thank you again

It looks like foam which can be seen as a symptom of MG, a respiratory disease. You can gently wipe it off with a clean damp cloth, or flush the eye with saline eye wash, and apply some Terramycin eye ojntment or plain Neosporin ointment or Triple Antibiotic Ointment. Here is an article about it:

Knowing your not a vet, would you know how many days I should keep applying. I’m aware of “until it looks better”, but I genuinely cannot find any info regarding duration of time to keep applying the terramycin. ( which I did eventually find!)
