i just feel bad that she feels bad

How is the crop? I would soak the bread and not give it dry. I see where most people recommend soaking it in olive oil for impacted crops, don't know if milk soak would be okay since milk can upset stomachs. If she hasn't been feeling well, it is probably empty if not, is it hard?

Go look at one of your birds outside who has been eating. If you feel around their neck, they will have a lump where they process the food that they have eaten. Mine are quite noticeable when full, big lump on their right front chest I think. I am pretty new too but can find it easy. See how the ones outside feel then try feeling your hens inside. I would guess the hen on the insides crop will be down since she hasn't been eating. If not, and it is feels hard it could be impacted. If you think it is there are some things you can do, do a search on this site for impacted crop.

If the crop is not impacted, and she doesn't do any better in the next few hours, my next step would be to get some poly vi sol with no iron and give her that in her water. Walmart's sell it for a few dollars in the kids vitamin section. Just a vitamin type thing. Much past that I am afraid that is the extent of my ideas-maybe our more experienced people can chime in soon!

well her crop feels like the rest of theres. she didn't touch the bread, even after i soaked it. do you think it would hurt if i gave her some of those vitamins anyways?
*UPDATE* When i did feel her crop i think i may have pressed a little hard and it sounded like burp or something when i pressed on it. could it be there was air in there?? but i did just catch her eating a little, hopefully she will turn around

It won't hurt at all to give her vitamins you can put it in the water. Just do a search to find out the dosages. doesn't sound like an impacted crop either. Be careful not to press too hard. I would just watch her for a few hours and make sure she doesn't get any worse. If she does post again and list the new symptoms. Good luck and let us know how she does.
