i would with a faverolle mix BUT the legs are featherless and if it was a feather legged breed involved it would at least have slight feathering on the legs. sounds like it might also be a bantam. It could also be Faverolle, Dorking, or Houdan. Houdans have crests, beard/muffs, V comb, and 5 toes. Dorkings have single combs and 5 toes. Faverolles have single combs, feathered legs, and 5 toes. Sultans have crests, beard/muffs, feathered legs, V comb, vulture hocks, and 5 toes. Silkies have crests, feathered legs, walnut combs, black skin, and can be bearded or beardless.
I don't see any feathering on the legs at all. The comb looks like a single comb cross. It's really difficult to nail down since it doesn't have a lot of the features you would be looking for. We do know that at least one of the parents was crested, one had a single comb, and one had 5 toes. Beyond that we can only guess. Knowing maybe some of the birds that might have been in the parent flock might help. Knowing the age would also help. Did you get it as a chick? Does it still "peep"?
I got 3 chickens from the same guy and he lets them all free range. He can't keep roosters once they start crowing so who knows what he has going on. I do know that another one my husband picked out is very tiny, so the Bantam makes sense. I will post a picture of her. ( just because she's so cute ) I thought that she was only a few weeks old when I got her, but she was fully feathered and flew around like crazy.i would with a faverolle mix BUT the legs are featherless and if it was a feather legged breed involved it would at least have slight feathering on the legs. sounds like it might also be a bantam.
