hello people!

anyways, today my long awaited blue swed mix ducklings hatched, however.

the two eggs were being shared by three broody hens, two runners and a muscovy.

I went out this mrning to see both where externally pipped

around 3ish I went back out to check, to find that one duckling had hatched fully, but had been crushed todeath

the other, for god knows why, someone had peeled litterally ALL the shell off the egg, leaving the baby with only membrane still around it, it was being kicked around quite abit, so i pulled it to have a look, theres still a tiny bit of yolk left for it to absorb, I have it in the bator wrapped tightly in a damp wash rag, it's active, peeping, and trying to move.

now, however, when it trys to move it sort of, shakes, like convulses, kind of like a little seizure, it's keeping it's eyes closed too.

I've never had a duckling do this, even a newly hatched, I've had new baby wobbles, but not like this, I was wondering if being a pinpong ball in the nest whacked out it's little brain, or will it grow out of it?
