I am fairly new to chickens and i got one from someone selling at tractor supply farmers market. he said the morning i got her she laid an egg ( he said she was a mix with an easter egger). it's been a week and a half and she hasn't laid an egg since. i know it can take some time for chickens to get used to their new environment, but i noticed she was standing very weird. i brought her in two days ago and you can feel an egg inside but she's not laying it. i've tried epsom salt baths, crushed up tums and water in a syringe, mineral oil orally and in her vent, and gently massaging the area you feel the egg. she was acting a little off the first day i brought her in but since then she's definitely feeling better and standing odd anymore but still no egg. she is pooping, eating, and drinking. i'm not sure what to do

Welcome To BYC

I would give her 1 Calcium Citrate +D3 tablet once daily for 5 days.

I would stop giving the mineral oil. If she tolerates the baths, it's o.k. to do.

She's been like this for a week and a half so the "egg" you feel may be in the abdominal cavity instead of the Vent. I'd stop feeling inside the vent.

She's poop, eating/drinking and not(?!) standing odd anymore correct? About all you can do is wait and see if she does lay an egg or perhaps some lash material. To me it sounds like she laid internally. If that happened, it's possible that was a 1 time thing and she will eventually feel better and resume laying. "Possible". But no guarantees.

Make sure she's eating a nutritionally balanced poultry feed (layer or all flock feed), that she has grit (crushed granite) and oyster shell free choice.

If you have photos of her and her poop, it may be helpful. Is she the only chicken you have or did you get others?

yes sorry she's not standing super penguin like anymore. i've been feeding that to her along with some scrambled eggs (she came with her feathers gone and wings clipped roughly) i have 12 other chickens (two bantams i got with her others are different breeds no roosters) just went check and she laid these weird pieces

Poor sweet girl :hugs

Those weird pieces look like Lash material. Salpingitis which is inflammation of the oviduct. More info and reading will be linked below.

If you have an antibiotic, I'd begin treating her. Amoxicillin is a good choice. I'll leave a link below if you don't have it.

I'd continue with giving the Extra Calcium for several days, hopefully she will be able to expel more material.

Salpingitis, Lash Egg.

Amoxicillin.
Dose for chickens is 57mg per pound of weight given orally twice a day for 7-10days.
